Dibble Constructions is committed to the health and wellbeing of its employees, subcontractors and suppliers as well as the community within which we operate. We, therefore, are taking very seriously the current COVID-19 Pandemic due to the coronavirus, in accordance with government recommendations as well as to our Health and Safety policies.
We will continue to operate to our high level of quality and excellence; however, the new measures being implemented might require additional processing time and we therefore ask your understanding and request your collaboration.
The virus can remain viable in the air for up to 3 hours, on copper for up to 4 hours, on cardboard up to 24 hours and on plastic and stainless steel up to 72 hours. Therefore, in order to stop propagation and avoid further complications, delays and possible work interruptions as well as to enable a quick recovery from this current crisis, it is very important that collectively we observe the rules of self-distancing and hygiene in all areas of the construction work.
In the event that anyone having had access to a site is confirmed with COVID-19, the site will be closed until all contact-tracing has been cleared by 2-weeks. That is to say, the work will not continue until all people who had access to the site have been quarantined for 2 weeks. Furthermore, if anyone which has been in contact with people who have had access to a worksite has been confirmed with COVID-19, then everyone in the contact-trace might be put into observation and government-imposed quarantine. So, if we do not practice the rules being implemented, you may be forced into quarantine even if you do not show COVID-19 symptoms.
For these reasons, it is
That if you (as a client, supplier, subcontractor or employee)
1 are sick, or present symptoms you should stay at home and self-isolate.
2 are in mandatory quarantine or needed self-isolation you must stay home, for example in the case of
Returning from overseas travel
Having had contact with a person returning from overseas travel
Having had contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19
During the day wash or sanitize your hands often even while on a job site.
Clean shared equipment and tools.
Practice self-distancing of 1.5 metres, and respect the 4 m2 exclusion area around people.
For purposes of Contact traceability, it will be required for any person entering a job site, to provide personal contact information (name, and contact number).
Failure to follow the rules, negligence in applying the rules or relaxation of attitudes towards these rules can have very drastic consequences for our employees, suppliers, or subcontractors and then spread further to our families and loved ones. Be safe, respect the coronavirus rules and suggestions.
Given the fast-changing nature of the current situation and proportionally fast response of government control mechanisms, it is everyone’s responsibility to keep informed and up-to-date regarding any government regulation.
